Crafted in 14 carat yellow gold (585) as a classic "Carved Half-Hoop Ring" with five alternating stones: three rubies and two brilliant-cut diamonds in a continuous claw setting, framed by elaborately hand-engraved volute scrolls on both sides.

The style dates back to the Victorian and Edwardian jewelry tradition (approx. 1880–1910). The execution with modern brilliant-cut diamonds and the freshness of the piece suggest a German or Austrian reproduction from the 1960s to 1980s – a style known as "Victorian Revival" which experienced a small renaissance during this period.

The combination of ruby and diamond is one of the oldest love symbols in European jewelry history: ruby stands for passion and loyalty, diamond for eternity.

Imagine… We received this ring from our partner in Bavaria. We don't know exactly where it originally came from – but we love to imagine its story:

Perhaps a gift for a 10th wedding anniversary in the late 70s – a woman in Munich or Berlin who received this ring from her husband. Three rubies, two diamonds, five years per stone, with the memories of a marriage in between. Or an heirloom from grandmother's jewelry box, originally worn with a high-necked blouse, later with an 80s suit, then stored away for years – and now ready for a new chapter.
