Crafted in 8 carat yellow gold (333) with the hallmarks "FHd" and "HR" – master marks of a German goldsmith, presumably from the jewelry regions of Pforzheim or Hanau, the traditional centers of German jewelry manufacturing. Stylistically clearly assignable to the late 1960s to early 1970s. The faceted amethyst is set in a striking 6-prong setting, highlighting the deep violet against the warm gold.
Who might have worn it
Imagine…We received this ring from our partner in Bavaria. We don't know its exact origin – but we love to imagine its story:
A woman in early 70s Munich who wanted a ring that looked like something – like nature, like craftsmanship, like attitude. Perhaps an architect, a gallerist, or simply a woman with a sense for the sculptural. Worn with a turtleneck, a tweed blazer, or a wide silk blouse. Amethyst was the favorite stone of artistically minded women back then.
Would you like the ring to be adjusted to your desired size? We can adjust it for €30 💛. Please email us at janina@ninaalwina.com after completing your order.
