Crafted in 14 karat yellow gold (585) as the model "Elegance" (item no. S700) by a German goldsmith manufacturer – a classic "croissant ring" from the 1980s to 1990s. The voluminous, curved crown with its diagonal lines was popularized in the late 70s by major houses like Cartier, David Webb, and Bvlgari and shaped the power-dressing decade like hardly any other ring shape: bold & unmistakable.
Who might have worn it
We don't know where exactly this ring comes from – but we love to imagine its story:
A woman in the 80s in Frankfurt, Munich, or Düsseldorf – perhaps a banker, a lawyer, or an advertising director, who for the first time sat at the table in a man's world and wanted jewelry that spoke for itself. Worn with a shoulder-padded blazer, a pussy-bow blouse, a black tailored suit. The croissant ring was the statement back then: no delicate solitaire, no sweet heart pendant – but a piece of jewelry that said: "I'm here, and I'm staying."
